Chalet Grand Lejon for twelve people
in Col des Saisies (Savoie/1600m)




Situation:
    The Col des Saisies is the highest point on the Alpine Road from Mégève, at 1,600m, the village faces south and is one of the sunniest places in France . During the main holiday seasons in winter and summer, the village is very animated, with special amenities and competitions and there is a great choice of inexpensively priced excellent restaurants.

    Access from the chalets to the ski slopes and ski school is very easy by foot.
Activities:

    Ski school, tennis, horse riding, mountain bikes can be rented, two-screen cinema, a lake for swimming in the summer, craft shops, live music, etc. During the summer season, there are villages fêtes, street sales of antiquities, etc.

Description:
    The chalet « Le Grand Lejon » faces south with a magnificent view across the mountains. It is just behind the main street and is the last chalet on the chemin du Soleil (see the attached map).
The interior of the chalet is about 140m 2 and is on six levels:
    Level 1:    Bedroom (app. 15m 2/3 beds)
    Room with double sofa-bed + TV / satelite)
     
    Level 2:   

    Bedroom (app. 15m 2/1 double bed (160)) + 1 single bed
    Bathroom
    WC (separate)
    Small room with washing machine, drier
    Main entrance hall with large cupboard and door into corridor 

    Level 3:   

    Drawing room (with fireplace), large dining table (app. 25m 2),
    TV, DVD
    French window onto balcony overlooking mountains  

    Level 4:   

    Well-equipped kitchen (app. 12m 2/washing-up machine etc.)
    Bathroom
    WC (separate)
    Entrance to terrace & chemin du Soleil 

    Level 5:   

    Bedroom (15m 2/2 beds),
    Bedroom (10m 2/2 beds),
    Balcony
     

    Level 6:    Dormitory (app. 20m 2/attic with several beds)

    There are two balconies facing south and a large terrace with a separate entrance on the fourth level, facing south east. There is a small garden which descends towards the village and a stream running beside it. There is a flat space behind the chalet which can be used as a playground .
